The Channel99 Pixel is used to capture impression view data so our customers can assess how their campaigns are attracting and influencing revenue. This data is combined with website visit and CRM data to paint the most comprehensive picture of Vendor and Channel influence on our customers business outcomes.
What Technology is Used?
The C99 Pixel is based on a lightweight hosted image via a Pixel URL (example: https://ping.channel99.io/?
This URL is usually known as a beacon or tracking URL by Advertisers and Content Syndication vendors and is very similar to a MOAT, Kantar or Double click beacon/pixel in terms of the integration into vendors and the underlaying data capture. Although there are similarities between these pixels Channel99 is focused on B2B functionality so we do not use cookies within our Pixel as we don't track on the user level and are looking forward to maintain the highest level of user data privacy.
How do I try out the C99 Pixel?
If you haven't created an account already, please do that HERE now and follow the directions for the vendor you would like to use the Pixel with.
Can the C99 Pixel block ads?
The Channel99 Pixel is not a blocking pixel and has no control over where or who content is shown to. This pixel is only made to measure and not interrupt any impression serving from the vendors you work with.
Does the C99 Pixel use cookies?
No, the C99 Pixel is designed with user privacy in mind and does not use cookies as a tracking mechanism.
How does the Pixel change Direct traffic?
Direct traffic is an unknown bucket of sourceless visits which most likely come from direct URL field inputs, shared links or saved favorites. Our Pixel overwrites direct traffic visits if there is a previous impressions from a vendor which has implemented the Pixel. If a vendor served many impressions to an account and it then caused a visitor to manually type in a URL, the vendor should get that visit credit. This is what's shown within the Pixel Reporting pages in the Channel99 Platform.
