It's not always easy to commit metric and attribute definitions to memory so to help you out we have created definitions of common nomenclature you will see throughout the Channel99 Platform.
Item | Definition |
Other Companies |
Other companies are companies found which are outside of your TAM or the audience you have selected on the page you are viewing. Although they are recognized companies, they might not be the companies you prefer to target. |
Visits |
Visits are single website hit which can contain many page views from a single user within a 30 minute timeframe. If a user visits your homepage and many other pages within that 30 minute window, this still constitutes a single visit. Only when the user leaves the site and returns after 30 minutes has expired will they be seen as another visit. |
View-Through Visits |
A View-Through Visit occurs when a user views an ad, offsite page or piece of content but does not click directly through that ad or content. The user then visits your site through a different source/vendor within a short timeframe. The direct click through source will receive a visit but the ad/content viewed before the visit which was not clicked on will receive a View-Through Visit. If multiple ads/content is viewed previous to the visit all will receive a View-Through Visit. This replies on the specific use of the Channel99 Pixel or View-Through enabled integration. |
