Understanding how your paid search keywords and ad groups perform with your most valuable audiences is critical to maximizing media efficiency. With Channel99’s Paid Search reporting, you can analyze performance down to the individual keyword level and apply Fit Score to prioritize what matters most for each audience.
This article walks through how to navigate Paid Search reporting, switch to keyword-level granularity, customize metrics, and score keywords using Channel99 Fit Score.
Step 1: Navigate to Paid Search Reporting
Open the Channel99 platform.
From the main navigation menu, select Paid Search.
The Paid Search section provides visibility into how your paid search campaigns perform across audiences, ad groups, and keywords — helping you understand which investments drive value with your target market.
Step 2: Review Standard Reporting Controls
At the top of the Paid Search view, you’ll find familiar platform controls:
Date Selector – Adjust the reporting window
Audience Selector – Choose the audience you want to analyze
Report Scheduler – Schedule automated reports
Goal Notifications – Monitor performance thresholds
These controls work the same way as in other Channel99 reporting areas.
Step 3: Toggle Between Ad Group and Keyword Views
Locate the Paid Search Reporting table.
Use the Ad Group / Keyword toggle at the top of the table.
Click Keyword to switch to keyword-level reporting.
This toggle allows you to:
View performance in a grouped Ad Group view, or
Drill down to individual keyword performance for deeper insight
Step 4: Customize the Metrics Displayed
Once in the Keyword view:
Select the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the reporting table.
Click Metrics Selection.
In the Metrics Selection modal you can:
Turn metrics on or off using checkboxes
Reorder metrics by dragging them up or down
Learn more about each metric using the information (i) icon
Changes apply instantly, allowing you to tailor the table to your specific analysis needs.
Step 5: Use the Legend to Refine Chart Visibility
Just like other areas of the platform, you can interact with chart legends to clarify your view:
Click legend labels to toggle data elements on or off.
For example, remove Unknown traffic from the Visits bar chart to better isolate:
Total Addressable Market (TAM)
Known company visits
This helps you focus on the most actionable data.
Step 6: Select Keywords to Score
Use the checkboxes on the left side of the keyword table to select one or more keywords.
Scroll down to the bottom of the screen.
Click the Score button.
You’ll see a confirmation view showing all selected keywords queued for scoring.
Step 7: Review Fit Score Results
After a short processing period:
Keywords are ranked automatically
Each keyword receives a Fit Score out of 100
Scores appear in a column on the right side of the table
The Fit Score helps you:
Identify which keywords resonate best with the selected audience
Prioritize keyword investment and optimization
Compare performance across different audiences
Important: Fit Scores are audience-specific. The same keyword may score differently across audiences depending on the companies included in each audience.
