Channel99 Vendors Section Tutorial – Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Access the Vendors Section
- Open Channel99.
- Click the "Vendors" icon in the main left-side navigation menu.
2. Use the AI Assistant
- At the top of the Vendors page, find the AI Assistant.
- Ask questions or request recommendations about:
- Vendor improvements.
- Campaign pixels.
- Analysis-based optimizations.
- Try it with your own organization’s data for tailored insights.
3. Customize your Vendors Page View
- Use the date selector to choose a reporting period.
- Use audience selection to pick the target audience (TAM or custom audience).
- Use sharing options to:
- Schedule recurring report deliveries.
- Set goal notifications for yourself or other registered Channel99 users.
- Remember: Changing the audience affects metrics and vendor scoring.
4. Review Primary Metrics
- View:
- Total Visits.
- Selected Audience Visits.
- Engaged Companies (for selected audience).
- Pipeline Influence.
- Closed Won Influence data.
- Note: Metrics include indicators showing previous period performance and % change.
- Selected Audience data defaults to platform audience or TAM, based on settings.
5. Use the "Visits by Vendor" Table
- Open the options menu to:
- Apply advanced filtering.
- Open the Metrics Selection tab to add, remove, or rearrange metrics.
- Click the Info Icon beside each metric to see its definition.
- Scroll down for Non-Digital Channels and Vendor Scoring.
6. Review Non-Digital Events
- View CRM-imported offline events such as:
- Leads.
- Webinars.
- Other events in Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Observe view-through visits (website visits after offline events like dinners or webinars).
- This connects offline channels with online activity.
7. Understand the Channel99 Fit Score
- Check the Fit Score for each audience to identify top-performing vendors.
- Audience name and company count appear beside the Fit Score title.
- Change the audience at the top right dropdown or create one in the Audiences section.
8. View Single Vendor Details
- Click a Vendor Name in the Visits by Vendor table.
- Review:
- Top primary metrics.
- Visit trends table (toggle between raw visits and % of total).
- Activate/deactivate data elements in the chart legend to focus on specific types.
9. Analyze Return on Marketing Spend
- Compare:
- Industry average benchmark for the channel.
- Your company’s channel average.
- Vendor’s Return on Marketing Spend (ROMs) for the time period.
- View visit distribution by type:
- Audience segment visits.
- Other company visits.
- Bot traffic.
- Calculate visit efficiency: Audience Visits ÷ Total Visits (%).
10. Review Vendor Campaigns
- Scroll to the bottom for a list of campaigns linked to the vendor.
- If empty:
- Integrate vendor under Settings → Integrations.
- Note: Some vendors (like Direct Traffic or Organic Sources) may not have campaigns.
11. Continue Optimization
- Monitor for upgrades to Vendor reporting over time.
- Use the AI Assistant to fine-tune vendor mix for specific audiences.
