Why would I need Non-Digital or Offline events in my measurement tool?
Measuring only what happens on your website gives a limited view of the total interactions your organization is having with prospect and customers. By Including data from the Salesforce Campaigns, Events, Tasks and Leads objects you are able to get a full picture of what's going into each opportunity and what's happening on every account. Note: Non-Digital Events can also be referred to as Offline Channels, Offline Events or Non-Digital Channels.
How to configure and activate Salesforce Activities, Events, Leads and Campaigns in Channel99
The most important part of setting up Non-Digital Events is to ensure Salesforce has been integrated, is you have not done this yet, please take a moment to integrate your Salesforce with these instructions before moving forward. Once this is done continue with the follow steps.
- Go to Your Company Settings page and click edit.
-
Activate Non Digital Events: Turn on the categories of Non-Digital Channels you would like to use in the Channel99 Platform. These will be visible in opportunity reporting and vendor reporting pages. If you would not like any Non-Digital events reported, leave them all off.
- Tasks & Events Reporting: If you are using Tasks and Events you are able to select the types you will be visualizing. Every Salesforce is a little different so choose which types make the most sense for your organization. Those not chosen will not be used for analysis, attribution or opportunity timeline reporting.
- Lead Status Tracking: You have the option to only view leads when they make it to a specific stage/status. Choose at which point you would like to start counting leads, this is usually a stage equivalent to MQL. Note that if this stage is skipped within Salesforce, we will still count the Lead at the time it progresses past the stage you choose.
- Campaign Field: Campaigns can be organized using many structure like Status, Type or Parent Campaign fields. Use the field you use to categorize your campaigns here. The return values for this field will show within the Channel99 platform.
- Campaign Spend: Choose the field you use to monitor and recognize campaign spend, This is most commonly Actual Spend but can be another field for custom situations. Choose what's best for your organization.
- SAVE: no changes will be made until the page is saved. This will activate the import of Non-Digital channels which will take up to 4 hours to process before you can view them within Channel99.
Note: Any settings in the Non-Digital Events setup area are able to be changed later so if you're not sure which field to use it's best to try your best guess and make a change later if needed.
Where should I see Non-Digital Events data?
